Dancing since the age of 8, Crystal is no stranger to the world of dance. Crystal started her career training in jazz her high school years and was a member of her high school dance team. Although trained in jazz, she found her love and passion in the art ballet in college and decided to make it her discipline. Crystal started choreographing at the age of 12 for local talent shows and throughout her adult years for on-stage shows. She has also gained experience as an instructor specializing in youth classes. Over the past two decades, she has stayed active in the local dance community as a student, a choreographer and a teacher. She has taken a love for all three and has developed a dream of sharing her talents with her community and giving back.
Crystal has learned the importance of hard work and perserverance and has founded and is determined to build Expressions Dance Company. She recognizes the fact that teachers should never stop learning and will continue to study her profession. With this, she hopes to reach, inspire and encourage a new generation in the art of dance.
Myracle is a San Antonio native. She began dancing at the age of 6 and has always had a unique style. She began developing her gift when she joined her first dance crew "Requad", a local hip hop dance ministry that combined popular urban dances with positive songs. Her ability to engage an audience and be a leader inspired her to start an all hip hop dance team at her high school, in which she was captain and choreographer.
Myracle has been teaching hip hop since the age of 16. she has worked from ages ranging from 6 to adult and knows how to cater to each group while still providing excellent technique and an exciting learning environment. In her dance career she has had the privilege to train with some of the top hip hop choreographers such as Laura Edwards, Ellen Kim, Lando Wilkins and JaJa Vankova.
She loves to share her knowledge and passion for dance, aw well as motivate and encourage other dancers. She takes advantage of the opportunities she is given to teach, not only to improve the technique of her students, but to inspire them to express their own creativity.
Allison has been involved in dance her entire life as her mother owned a studio. Allison began dancing herself at the age of 5. She has experience in tap, ballet, jazz, and baton twirling. As she developed her craft, tap became her passion. Allison is honored to say that she had the privilege of studying under the former Vaudeville performer, Mr. Gene Pfluge.
Allison competed in tap and baton twirling for over 15 years. She danced in high school musicals and twirled and danced in the Dallas Operetta production of Lolanthe at the age of 14. At the age of 16, Allison began teaching beginner classes in her mother’s studio. After moving to San Antonio to finish college she continued teaching dance; running two studios.
Although Allison’s career took her away from dance for a while, her passion has never died as she instilled her love of dance in her daughter. She is very excited to have the opportunity to share her knowledge and love of dance again with children as part of the Expressions Dance Company family.
